• Day One - Friday

• Day Two - Saturday
Your arrival will be at Kotoka International Airport, Accra, Ghana. You will be greeted and assisted once you have completed the immigration and customs formalities. You will transfer to the La Palm Hotel for check-in.
After breakfast, your Tour Director will introduce you to the Sankofa Meroe Tour Guides. The Director will give you an orientation of the program. In addition, you will be given an introduction to Ghana’s people and customs; and general health and safety information. Upon request, mobile phones and numbers can be made available for an additional fee upon arrival.
After lunch, our Guide will take you on a sightseeing tour of Accra, Ghana's political and administrative capital, a city with a blend of colonial and modern images. You will visit the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and you will have a brief introduction to shopping at the Arts Center. You can get good buys on the popular Kente cloth, fabrics, carvings, leather goods and jewelry, as well as a host of other souvenir items. In the evening, there will be a “Welcome Dinner.”
• Day Three -Sunday
After breakfast, you will travel to the outskirts of Accra to the village of Langma for special bar-b-que lunch at Sankofa Beach House. You will have time to take a walk along the ocean to relax and swim. There will be a cultural drum and dance presentation after your lunch. You will return to the hotel for dinner.
• Day Four - Monday
After breakfast, you will depart for El Mina and Cape Coast. Along the way to Cape Coast you will visit the memorial commemorating the slave route in Assin Manso. After arrival and check-in at the Coconut Grove Hotel you will have lunch. After lunch you will be guided through the Cape Coast Castle and the West African Historical Museum. After dinner you will have time to discuss your castle experience.
• Day Five - Tuesday
Breakfast is served at Coconut Grove Hotel. After breakfast, experience the exhilarating effect of a tropical forest at Kakum Nature Reserve. You will take a nature walk into Kakum and traverse one of the worlds few rope bridges in the canopy of the forest. After the nature walk, we will stop for lunch along the ocean. The balance of the day is yours to spend shopping or relaxing.
• Day Six - Wednesday
After breakfast, you will depart for the village of Breman-Benin. During the drive, The tour guide will provide an introduction to village and its protocols.
At the village, you will meet with the local chief and elders of the village. You will be given a tour of the village and the schools. You will get an opportunity to sample traditional Ghanaian cuisine and their local drinks. After lunch you will return to Accra.
• Day Seven - Thursday
After breakfast, you will visit the W.E.B. Du Bois Memorial Center for Pan African Culture and lay a ceremonial wreath at the tomb of Dr. Du Bois marking the end of your visit to Ghana. After lunch you are free to take care of last minute items. In the evening there will be a “Farewell Dinner” prior to your departure from Ghana.
• Day Eight - Friday
Early morning check-in and return flight to the US.
Price: $1250 per person based on a minimum of 10 people.

This package assumes:
• During the free times, participants should be free to select lunch and dinner on their own. Therefore, lunches and dinners that are omitted can be added back.
• We do not handle air transportation, but we are willing to give you contacts in the US for consolidators who can assist you in getting a good fare. The assumption is that you will fly Delta or a direct flight from the US arriving in the morning. Adjustments for European airlines can be made for your tour.
• There will be guides to assist the tour.
• A room assignment by gender or couples will be required to make the proper room reservations. We are quoting the upper end of the accommodations scale at all locations. If you desire, we can down grade the accommodations if budget is an issue.
